Potassium carbonate (potash) is a white crystalline powder, soluble in water. Potash is non-toxic, safe in case of fire and explosion, there are alkaline properties. The raw material for the production of potassium carbonate is carbonate solution obtained during the isolation of aluminaten hydroxide solution in complex treatment of nefelin. In ancient times, has been produced by plant ash, which has a relatively high content of potassium carbonate (50-80%). That is why it is often called a wooden soda he can be calcined/K2CO3/or molecule and half water/K2CO3.1,5H20.

Potash is used to production of Pyrex glass or Crystal, in the manufacture of paints and varnishes, in photography, as an additive in mixtures to reduce the freezing point, in the manufacture of liquid soaps and fire-extinguishing means, for the protection of wood products.

Potassium carbonate is used in the compound feedingstuff, it is used in the production of bulk chemicals – scale (including petroleum products) and solid mineral fertilisers for alkalized purposes in the cocoa production industry for the manufacture of cleaning and construction preparations, coatings, in laboratories and chemical peeling.
